Holiday Accommodation For Your Birds - Home Away From Home
At Feathers and Beaks Bird Minding, I offer holiday accomodation for your birds.
The birdroom is part of my home, therefore the holidayers have my constant attention. They are not housed in a shed or outside dwelling.
The birdroom has reverse cycle air conditioning for the hot and cold weather and fresh natural air through the room's louvres. I provide optimum care for your bird while you are away on your holiday or unable to care for your bird for any amount of time. This could be due to work, moving, illness or other commitments. Unfortunately it is sometimes hard to rely on friends or family members to look after your special babies when you can't. You can relax knowing that your feathered friend is being well cared for by a fellow bird lover. They can enjoy a little holiday of their own. This is where my service can help.
Daily updates can be seen on my facebook page as communication is so important when you are away from your feathered baby . What is provided* Fresh water at least twice a day, bowls washed. Change of seed/pellets etc* Appropriate fresh / cooked fruits / vegetables to what your bird usually has* Green and soft foods to what your bird usually has* Change of cage paper daily* Heaps of TLC and daily interaction
* Daily playtime out of their cage is offered but never forced, its their holiday* A secure, smoke free environment
* Climate controlled bird room. Fresh air and air conditioned for extreme days.* Special needs / diets catered for

- I picked Charlie boy up, who is my green cheeked conure. I have felt so relaxed being onholiday for 10 days, knowing that Charlie is cared for and is having a 5 star holiday. I have been updated with posts, photos and videos and how he's going nearly everyday. He has played with new toys and has been taught how to get food out of food puzzle toys. Medium Birds - Fruit Eating BirdsCockatiels, Princess Parrots, Alexandrines, King Parrots, Quaker Parrots, Conures, Ringnecks, Senegal, Hahns Macaw (Mini Macaws) Moustache Parrots, Parrotlets, Caiques$15 per day Please note in most cases x2 medium birds in one cage will have the same rate.
Large Birds and LorikeetsEclectus, Major Mitchell Parrots, Gang Gang Parrots, Amazons, Galah, Corella, Lorikeets-: Black/Dusky/Rainbow etc $20 per dayPlease note, in most cases, x 1 bird per extra large cage (at owners discretion)
Cage Hire If RequiredMedium $20 per week Large $25 per week Extra Large cage $30 per week Large outdoor ground aviary (when available) $35 per week COCKATOOS, AFRICAN GREYS AND LARGE MACAWS ARE BY APPLICATION BOARDING RATES ARE $35 per day Please note-: if you are bringing your own cage, it must be thourougly cleaned prior to use and of sound quality as it will not be accepted into the bird room otherwise. No responsibility taken for faulty or inferior cages.

*Emergency contacts must be provided. Should your parrot show signs of ill health or injury, we will seek authorization from you or your emergency contact to gain Veterinarian assistance of a local vet. Please note, we cannot seek this service withour prior approval.
*Drop off and pick up times are flexible 7 days a week , no extra charge for public holidays. At busy times of the year you can choose from allotted time frames given.
*Whilst we offer the utmost care for your feathered friends, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury out of our control
